SUPPORT FOR MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS

MS People UK is for sufferers of Multiple Sclerosis or for those who suspect they have Multiple Sclerosis but are not yet diagnosed, as well as for friends, families, supporters and those interested in this disabling condition.

The main area is the Forum which acts as an interactive community, where members share their experiences, discuss the problems sometimes encountered when trying to get a diagnosis, ask each other about the benefits or side-effects of the various treatments available, compare symptoms, offer support and tips, tell us their stories. Members also chat about a variety of subjects not related to MS, as well as share jokes and upload photos, talk about their hobbies, have fun, plus more. The atmosphere is a friendly, compassionate and caring one.

There is also information on the various methods of diagnosis, such as MRI, lumbar puncture, and evoked potentials.

There are sections with information and links to sites about symptoms, treatments including the Disease Modifying Drugs (Avonex, Betaferon, Copaxone), conditions that mimic or are similar to MS, benefits and allowances, Disability Living Allowance (DLA), and more.

There is also a section dedicated to LDN (Low Dose Naltrexone).

We are also endorsed by the MS Trust.

The MS People mailing list is a discussion list at Yahoo! Groups originally set up by the MS Trust, with myself as moderator and led by its members, whose experience covers the spectrum of life with MS.
